The National Guard play a hugely significant role in assisting with the deployment of barriers to protect the lives and buildings of local towns and cities.
For years they have had to struggle on with the use of regular sandbags.
Last year, the Big Bag Defence System was supplied into Fargo and it was the National Guard who took on the role of Deployment as well as been heavily involved in the cleanup operation after the floods had receded and when there was no further risk of flooding.
They were very impressed with how fast they could achieve full deployment with the Big Bag Defence System and were even more satisfied with the ease of clean up.
